Since we launched in August this year Sports Shorts has posted 86 blogs covering a multitude of topics including:
- a look at new rules concerning Premier League shirt sponsorship;
- a review of UK Sport and Sport England’s ‘Code for Sports Governance’
- consideration of England Rugby’s training camps;
- an analysis of the FIFA Poppy Dispute (twice);
- bribery in football; and
- some health and safety for good measure.
2016 has been a momentous year in many ways including, from a sporting perspective, the Rio Olympics and Brexit. 2017 promises to be equally busy with an Ashes Series down under, the British & Irish Lions tour to New Zealand, the IAAF World Championships in London and the Women’s Rugby World Cup amongst others as highlights.
Sports Shorts will be there to comment on and review all the main sporting developments throughout the year.
However today marks the end of our posts for 2016 as we are off to eat mince pies and generally be merry. We will return on Tuesday 3 January 2017.
Until then Sports Shorts wishes all its readers a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
